I first learned about color analysis back in the 1980’s when my mother brought Carole Jackson’s Color Me Beautiful book on our long car trip to Florida. We attempted to analyze each other, my aunt, and my poor father the entire vacation. More than a decade later, I had a color analysis using the 4 season system but I was still confused……some of the colors seemed to work, but many of them felt too bright.
It wasn’t until several years later that I had a 12 seasonal tone color analysis with professional colorist and certified color analyst, Kathryn Kalisz, who determined I was a Warm Autumn. I had light hair and light eyes – how could I be an Autumn? And yet, the colors worked. I immediately understood why I never felt right in that fabulous silver jewelry purchased in the southwest, or bold patterns or shiny fabric. It clicked why that blue and white sailor dress I wore to every wedding during the last part of the eighties just wore me. I felt that I had come home to the warm earthy Autumn colors that match not only my coloring, but my personality. Why hadn’t I seen it before? I was too busy wearing what was on sale, what looked pretty on the model in the catalog, and what was convenient – black and white.
I realized what an important resource this simple natural tool would be and I wanted to share this knowledge with others. So, in 2004 I became a certified SciArt™ color analyst, and several months later opened a personal color analysis studio in Pittsford, NY.
Kerry Stich has a knack for and a love of connecting people; whether it’s to the right career, the right person or the right colors. She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Personnel Management and worked for over two decades in the retail industry as a Human Resources Executive before becoming a certified Personal Color Analyst and Image Consultant. Kerry is a member of AICI, Association of Image Consultants International, the Rochester Women’s Network and the Holistic Moms Network. In 2004, Kerry co-founded Bella Bleu Color, a personal color analysis studio in Pittsford, NY. In 2010, she expanded her services and product lines and founded Indigo Tones. Indigo Tones allows her to combine her passion for teaching, natural alternatives, career development, personal enrichment, and color!
Kerry lives in Pittsford, NY with her husband Jack, children Clare & Tim, and cardigan welsh corgi, Roger.
